Assisted stretching is a method of hands-on manual therapy designed to gently increase range of motion by guiding the body through a flowing sequence of carefully applied stretches. Using gentle traction, circumduction and 3D full joint range stretching to increase range of motion by targeting not just the muscles and connective tissues but the entire joint capsules.
Your body will glide in and out of stretches, working with the breath to calm your central nervous system and achieve a deeper more effective stretch.
Sessions are carefully designed for you and your specific needs, but during. a typical session we will work together to :
Assess your posture and your movement, working together to identify any areas of restriction.
Discuss your unique and individual needs, including any particular life or sports specific goals.
You will then be moved through a sequence of passive and active stretches, working with your breath to unlock your fullest range of movement bring comfort and space into your body and deep relaxation into your mind.
Find greater comfort and ease in your body, and a sense of calm, of peacefulness and relaxation for your mind with an assisted stretch therapy session.
Let your mind and body be calm and relaxed as I take you through a full body stretch. I can guide your body through the most appropriate stretches at the correct intensity and for the optimal amount of time so that you can relax completely.
I will guide you and help you to use your breath to calm your nervous system and to fully relax into a stretch to unlock your fullest range.
